This year, my husband and I will be leaving our beloved country of Canada and embarking on a 9-month trip around the world. As we prepare for departure, there's anticipation, excitement, and nervousness. The concept of leaving the comfort of our home and the support of our loved ones is something I can't even begin to process. I imagine this trip to be filled with beauty and chaos. A whirlwind of adventure, encompassing the good, the bad, and the ugly. In my posts, I hope to showcase our experiences through a series of photographs and a few words.

Our first stop in our journey is in the land of my ancestors, Spain. Growing up, I've heard stories of the Spanish Conquistadores who travelled and colonized. I heard stories of my great, great, grandfather who came from Spain and settled in the Philippines. My family often spoke about our Spanish roots and influences. I look forward to  travelling in the land where it all began. We look forward to experiencing the culture, the food, and the people. Stay tuned!

I chose this picture to feature my post, as a reminder of our home in British Columbia, Canada. As we explore the urban jungles of Madrid and Barcelona, I anticipate the longing for stillness and peace that often comes from being in nature.
