Dreamy ending to Turkey

We spent our last days in Turkey at the western and central areas of Pamukkale and Cappadocia. I felt like I was in a dream in the midst of walking on the white travertine terraces or floating high in the sky on a hot air balloon. Being surrounded by the white terraces of Pamukkale and the Fairy Chimneys of Cappadocia produced a sense of other-worldly feel. We couldn’t help but think that we were in a totally different world or another planet. While in Cappadocia, we felt like we were part of the Flinstones or the Hobbit, walking through the underground cities or climbing on the fairy chimneys.

Long story short, our experience in Turkey was like a delicious double chocolate cake and our last few days were the icing on top. We have met several adventurous tourists we had fun with, as well as a few friendly locals who have guided us along the way. I will cherish the time we spent in this beautiful country, long after our travels have ended.
Having said that, the minus two-degree nights most likely have not prepared us for our trek to South East Asia. While Cappadocia’s cold weather turned us into popsicles, I have a feeling the Thai sun will turn us into hot soup!

Love your pictures of Turkey and so many other areas as well. So much beauty you are able to take in on this trip of a lifetime :) I'm sure you are enjoying your travels and I'm enjoying them through you :)
Beautiful! Sounds like a very lovely place!
It sure is Helen! It felt surreal looking at all the cave homes and hot air balloons suspended in the air.
Wow what a beautiful place!
